why i hate froot loops, but still recommend carl's jr.'s mini donuts

If you’re into the donut scene, or perhaps just fast food, you’ve probably heard that Carl’s Jr./Hardee’s just released limited edition Froot Loops mini donuts.

According to Carl’s Jr.’s Chief Marketing Officer:
We know today’s consumers are craving nostalgia, and Froot Loops Mini Donuts feature flavors that will bring them back to their childhood, and introduce a little extra fun at snack time.
I drove about 20 minutes to my closest Carl’s Jr. in Arlington, TX to check them out.

  1. Cheap! To be expected from a fast food joint, although sometimes these “limited edition” offerings are overpriced. You can grab this pack of five mini donuts for just $1.99. I’m used to paying at least $2.50 for a single artisan donut.
  2. Tastes and smells exactly like Froot Loops. The only difference is the texture since the donuts are cake-like and soft.

I personally do not like Froot Loops. Surprisingly, I always gravitated towards the plain cereals like Cheerios and Crispix. While I wouldn’t order them again, my husband definitely would. I still recommend checking them out while they’re available.

Would you try these Froot Loops mini donuts? What other cereal donuts would you like to see instead? I could go for a Dunkaroos or Rice Krispies Treats edition myself…Comment below!
