What is Inspire Society?
A full day marathon photo shoot for influencers, brands, and photographers to collaborate and build their content. It’s basically speed dating for creatives.

The story behind the photo shoot:
If you’re following me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen me tease photos from the Inspire Society blogger event. When I heard they were coming to Dallas, I jumped at the chance (and then immediately questioned my decision). I’m not a “fashion blogger” after all…should I have signed up as a photographer instead of a blogger? At the end of the day, I realized that I don’t have many pictures of me in front of the camera. There’s only so many times I can bother my hubby to snap photos of me with donuts. I thought it’d be fun to let the professionals do their work. I’m so glad I decided to go outside my comfort zone!
Some phenomenal skincare, food, and clothing brands sponsored the event, but in all honesty, most were not the right fit for my brand. Instead, I used the opportunity to pose with donuts all day. While I didn’t bring any real donuts with me, I did get to play with some amazing donut props. And most of it was a complete coincidence. See, the night before, the ladies organized an optional happy hour at STIRR in Deep Ellum. I was almost not going to go — it was raining and I had to drive all the way from Fort Worth — but I figured why not? It’s a great networking opportunity and who knows what can come of it. Long story short, I got to chatting with Rhyanna, one of the photographers. As fate would have it, she won a dozen donuts from Foam Bakery a few months back. I happen to know the brand well since I followed the Hall of Breakfast pop-up experience in Salt Lake City. She was kind enough to bring them to the shoot the next day and they were a hit. THANK YOU, RHYANNA!
I also brought a few squishy donuts from Target and Five Below, along with all of the donut t-shirts I’ve collected over the years. Speaking of, I should really invest in the monthly subscription from Doughnuts & Deadlifts…
